Dr Martin Caton

Dr Martin Caton is the founder and CEO of Low Carbon Electric, the Bolton-based company he set up in 2015 to help electricity networks cut carbon and cost by getting more from the infrastructure they already have.

Low Carbon Electric’s technology improves the efficiency and reliability of electricity lines and transformers, manages faults proactively and unlocks capacity on low voltage networks for electric vehicles, heat pumps and solar.

Martin joined Techcelerate in October 2026.
