Setting up the company is not part of the SkilledUp Life Starter Plan, but among 69,500 skilled volunteers from 158 countries you will still find lawyers, accountants, HR and compliance professionals with significant knowledge in these areas.
Volunteers with legal backgrounds help you organise the statutory registers, prepare first drafts of policies and terms, and build your document checklist.
Volunteers with accounting backgrounds help you choose and set up accounting software, design a monthly bookkeeping routine and build your compliance calendar.
Volunteers with HR backgrounds help you prepare for your first hire: pensions, contracts and a simple people handbook.
Volunteers help with trade mark searches, domain checks and the evidence your adviser needs to file.
Volunteers help you prepare and organise, so the time you pay your solicitor and accountant for goes further. Anything you sign or file should still be reviewed by your own qualified advisers.
SkilledUp Life is exclusively for tech companies. Volunteers cannot be paid in any form, including stipends, gift vouchers or expenses. All volunteering is remote, and no promises of paid roles can be made.
